Software Engineer (C++/Python)

 

London based

 

You will be part of the Global Fixed Income Software Engineering team, which is responsible for development of the Global Fixed Income data solutions, trading and risk systems, and the integration of models/analytics, market data, scenarios and trades / positions into the system.

 

Your main goal will be to focus on the core technology that supports the Global Fixed Income and Macro Strategies codebases. Currently, the Macro Strategies group is a Greenfield team which is headed up by a well-known Quant in the industry and is looking to expand his team.

 

You will get the opportunity to a join a well-seasoned team of Developers, and work independently and as part of a successful team. Key Responsibilities:

 

You will be primarily involved with development of platforms, tools and infrastructure for real-time trading, risk management and data systems for proprietary trading in global fixed income.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Technical education should include an Undergraduate or Advanced STEM Degree
  • Proven track record in software design and development (e.g. open source software contributions)
  • Demonstrable interest in financial topics and a clear desire and motivation to learn more
  • Demonstrable proficiency and significant experience in programming and problem solving in C++ on Linux and Windows
  • Solid Python scripting experience

 

 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

 

  • Practical experience with the CMake build system
  • Experience with building clean library abstractions and APIs targeting Windows and Linux platforms
  • Experience working with libraries and utilities for logging, serialization, metrics capture and inter-process communication
  • Experience with Boost, Python or similar C++/Python bindings
