Head of Insurance - FinTech startup
My client is a rapidly growing FinTech startup founded by well-known names in the industry. They deliver a cloud-based, end-to-end development and production platform bringing the architectural model of investment bank systems to a broad enterprise audience. With their open architecture, transparent source code, and automated infrastructure solutions, clients can build in-house functionality on a platform that has been proven at some of the largest financial institutions in the world. They give financial and quantitative developers the tools they need so that they can focus on the business and deliver fully integrated applications for analytics, pricing, risk management for the business.
Due to business expansion, they are looking to hire a “Producer Manager" to lead their Insurance Practice. The ideal candidate will be a senior Financial or Quant Developer with experience working on the asset side of life insurance companies, asset/liability management calculations, capital reserve calculations, and familiarity with accounting practices for bonds and derivatives in life insurance portfolios. This person will come from a Python coding background and is someone who can implement functionality but has management experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and commercial focus, as the position involves running a business line front to back and managing a team of 10 – 20 Developers/Quants.
