The final instalment in our blog series from our placement students comes from Jack McNeilly. Jack has joined our Belfast office and sits on our Tech team focussing primarily on roles within Belfast and across Northern Ireland.
Hi, I’m Jack and I study Business Information Technology at Queen’s University Belfast. When choosing my placement, I was particular about where I applied, as I wanted somewhere I could get a good insight into the industry and be able to utilise the skills I have learnt in my degree. Not only this, but I also wanted somewhere I could be hands-on and get stuck in, which is exactly what I have found here at Anson McCade.
Anson McCade has provided the platform for me to communicate with professionals from all different areas within the IT Sector. My manager Dean has been great in providing insight into the roles and what they entail. After only 6 weeks, I already have noticed a huge difference in my knowledge of the IT sector.
In the next year ahead, I want to build on this and gain as much valuable experience as I can and really drive to leave my mark before I go. Anson McCade could not have been more welcoming and have already invested in me to make sure I am fully equipped to have the success I am after in the year ahead.
I have now been at Anson McCade for 7 weeks and I am absolutely loving it, the social culture, the driven work environment, and the team I work with are all aspects that make this job so enjoyable. I could not recommend Anson McCade highly enough for any student looking for their year in industry.
