Job Title: BI Developer

We are seeking a talented BI Developer to join our Global Network Operations function, specifically within the Reporting & Analytics pillar. This team is pivotal in driving innovation, fostering an agile mindset, and ensuring a hands-on approach to analytic application design, from business requirements to deployment and transition to business as usual service.
The Role: You will be at the forefront of exploring Business Operations data, identifying opportunities for innovation, and applying BI and advanced Data Analytics capabilities to deliver data-centric business insights. Your role involves both application/project delivery and business as usual service delivery, working closely with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Application / Project Delivery:
* Explore Business Operations data to identify opportunities for innovation and advanced Data Analytics applications.
* Facilitate the resolution of complexities by collaborating with business and technical SMEs, Solution Architects, and other resources.
* Manage the delivery of Proof of Concept projects and assist in formulating business cases for new products and applications.
* Work with the Reporting & Analytics Lead to develop product roadmaps and implementation strategies.
* Ensure smooth transition of implemented products into business as usual service.
Business as Usual Service Delivery:
* Manage stakeholder demands and verify analytic needs.
* Provide achievable timelines and ensure stakeholder satisfaction with results.
* Solicit feedback to improve BI & Data Analytics services.
* Recommend service, process, and application improvements based on user feedback.
* Promote and maintain standards for Self-Served analytics using tools like Power BI, QlikView, and Tableau.
* Collaborate with IT and other service teams to support development activities and ensure data quality.
* Ensure the quality, accuracy, and security of outputs before distribution.
Skills & Experience:
* Strong analytical skills and experience on large BI projects.
* Advanced hands-on experience with DAX, including crafting complex calculations and data analysis.
* Solid understanding of Power BI's data model and best practices.
* Extensive experience with SQL databases, including complex queries and stored procedures.
* Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
* Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL, and data modelling.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization, data mining, and data transformation.
* Power BI certification is a plus.
* Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle conflicts and troubleshoot issues.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships.
* Experience in Financial Services and Management Consulting industries is preferred.
Experience:
* Hands-on design and development of complex BI solutions.
* Experience working within a Reporting & Analytics team using BI tools, particularly Power BI, with exposure to QlikView and Tableau.
* Experience leading or supervising on/off-shore delivery teams.
* Expertise in designing relational, dimensional models, and analytical data marts/cubes.
* Collaboration with database developers and data engineers for optimal data tuning.
* Experience using open source data to enhance BI and Data Analytics outputs.
* Working in a global business environment.
