Join a key role as a Senior Systems Engineer in the Avionics Joint Team (AJT), leading design and qualification of Avionic system changes.

You'll gain broad expertise in Typhoon Avionics, working across its lifecycle with diverse stakeholders. The AJT coordinates efforts across all sub-systems, contributing to major upgrades for both Core Nation and Export customers. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate within the Eurofighter consortium, partnering with external companies and customer communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating Avionics qualification plans and test requirements
  • Analyse test evidence to assess compliance with qualification plans, advising on non-compliances and potential platform limitations.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to define minimum testing for Safety Critical Function Chains
  • Manage and address software issues
  • Provide an In-Service Query answer service for urgent customer issues.
  • Support Typhoon Avionics design qualification, working closely with the Avionics Safety

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Mission Systems, preferably in aerospace/military.
  • Knowledge of functional test processes at the system/subsystem level.
  • Familiarity with equipment interface specifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adhere to standards, and value configuration control.
  • Knowledge of the Typhoon platform.
  • Experience in trials data analysis, trials management, and design tools/methodologies (e.g., Statemate, Artisan, Rhapsody, UML, DOORS).

The Senior Systems Engineer package:

  • £40,000 - £50,000 base
  • Company pension / benefits package
