Role Overview
The Workday Financials Manager will lead cloud-based enterprise transformation initiatives by implementing pre-defined back-office functions rooted in industry best practices. This role leverages a comprehensive operating model that includes service delivery, people, process, technology, data & insights, and governance. The successful candidate will harness their expertise in ERP systems like Workday to enhance corporate services functions through cutting-edge SaaS technology.

Key Responsibilities
The Workday Financials Manager will be responsible for managing SaaS ERP-based transformation programs, utilizing their functional expertise in areas such as Finance, HR, and Procurement. They will lead client programs, contribute to pre-sales activities, and continuously improve the existing operating model. As demand for cloud-based services grows, the Workday Financials Manager will also play a crucial role in expanding the technology team.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates for the Workday Financials Manager role should have:

  • A degree-level education or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of key business drivers like cost reduction and insight-led improvement, which motivate clients to pursue finance transformation programs.
  • Experience across various industry sectors, including Media, Retail, Banking, and Government.
  • Expertise in multiple Workday Finance ERP implementation lifecycles, from pre-sales and scoping to post-go-live support.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end business processes enabled by Workday Finance, covering areas such as Invoice to Cash, Record to Report, and Procure to Pay.
  • Familiarity with additional Workday modules like HR and Payroll is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ colleagues, including clients and third-party vendors.

  • Strong influencing abilities, particularly with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of cloud-based environments and the challenges of implementing and operating on the cloud.

  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and presentation, both virtually and in person.
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new information and changing priorities.
  • Solid organizational, multitasking, and decision-making skills, especially in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
