Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity within a high-impact environment? Join a dynamic and collaborative team working on cutting-edge submarine platforms, where your design expertise will directly contribute to some of the most advanced defence projects in the world.

What you'll do as a Principal Design Engineer:

• Collaborating on the design and production of the 3D model for the whole boat primary structure, including:
• Shell plate/stiffening
• Steelwork decks, bulkheads, and compartmentation
• Major castings, seating, and mounting arrangements
• Penetrations, component parts, and production aids
• Leveraging your design knowledge in systems and processes to solve design challenges using proven analytical techniques.
• Overseeing the quality of work produced by other team members to ensure it meets industry standards.

Required skills of the Principal Design Engineer:

• Previous design experience in high-hazard industries such as Marine, Civil, Structures, or Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with CAD packages including FORAN, NX, and/or SolidWorks.
• Specialist in large-scale, detailed design techniques for platforms, assemblies, systems, and equipment installations.
• A keen eye for problem-solving within complex structures and commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards.
