Dynamics Ecommerce Architect (6-Month Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dynamics Ecommerce Architect to join our dynamic team at the UK Government Digital Service on a 6-month contract basis. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering ecommerce solutions using Microsoft Dynamics for a high-profile public sector project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to digital transformation efforts, shaping ecommerce platforms that enhance the user experience for millions of citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of ecommerce solutions using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver scalable and secure ecommerce platforms.
  • Develop and oversee the integration of ecommerce solutions with existing digital services.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for Dynamics 365 customization and configuration.
  • Ensure the ecommerce architecture is aligned with government digital standards and security requirements.
  • Participate in system testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews to ensure quality and performance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Architect, with a strong focus on ecommerce solutions.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and integration with third-party applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of ecommerce platforms, payment gateways, and digital customer experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance within government or public sector environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with UK government digital services or other public sector projects.
  • Familiarity with GDS service standards and guidelines.
  • Contract Details:
  • 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
  • Day Rate: £600 - £700 per day (Outside IR35)
  • Fully remote working, with occasional travel to UK-based offices if required.
