Anson McCade are delighted to be working with a leading consultancy as they seek to appoint a QA Automation Tester to leading projects across their impressive portfolio of clients.

The role of QA Automation Tester will include:

• Collaborate with the product team to set acceptance criteria and define the Definition of Done (DoD) for each story.
• Partner with developers to plan and review tests that cover all product delivery features and functions at the unit and component levels.
• Conduct exploratory testing across all stages of development.
• Work with the product team to design tests throughout the delivery process to ensure readiness for live release.
• Automate tests as needed.
• Collaborate closely with developers to design and test stubs.
• Ensure the team defines tests to validate non-functional requirements (NFRs) at the appropriate levels.
• Maintain traceability throughout the product delivery lifecycle.
• Keep the team informed on test progress and quality metrics, delivering these in a clear format for stakeholders.
• Advocate for quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• As part of an Agile team, contribute to designing and building automated tests for comprehensive test coverage.
• Provide test assurance for user stories based on defined acceptance criteria in a test-first environment.
• Work closely with Software Engineers to perform testing that meets requirements, supporting effective Agile delivery.
• Participate in estimation activities and identify opportunities to enhance test effectiveness within the team.
• Ensure team retrospectives and planning sessions promote test best practices, continuous improvements, and adherence to standards.

Essential experience for the QA Automation Tester role includes:

• Skilled in API testing with Postman
• Proficient in Cypress and Docker for containerized testing
• Extensive experience using GitLab to store and manage test automation
• Solid foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with JUnit
• Familiar with tools and platforms including SonarQube, Jenkins, Splunk, Gatling, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, WireMock, Hamcrest, AWS CloudWatch, Jira, and Confluence
