Software Test Engineer

We are looking to recruit the ideal Software Test Engineer for our exciting client who are one of Europe's leaders in security and defence and one of the world's fastest-moving and industry-leading space businesses.

The successful Software Test Engineer will get the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, which has been constantly innovating to provide efficient and technologically advanced solutions in aerospace, defence and connected services across the world for over 15 years.

Responsibilities:

The successful Software Test Engineer will carry out the following tasks:

  • Writing test procedures from system/sub-system Requirements Specifications
  • Running test procedures
  • Writing test reports and analysing results to determine whether the software meets the requirements
  • Provide input to and support TRRs, TRBs and DRBs.
  • Support the implementation team in the investigation and diagnosis of software issues.

Requirements:

The ideal Software Test Engineer would meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a responsible test engineering role
  • Experience using Rational ClearCase, BitBucket or a similar version control management system
  • Experience using issue tracking systems
  • Comfortable breaking down large test campaigns into scheduled activities
  • A broad range of experience with software and its applications
  • Experience of software development using the Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of Network Management Systems
