This is an exciting opportunity to work for a market maker in the consultancy arena. We are recruiting for talented Data Governance consultants primarily with 2-7 years of experience.

You will have the opportunity to make intelligent, future-proof decisions while building trusted relationships with industry leaders and use innovative methods to create data-driven programmes that transform their organisations. Your advice will help clients position their organisations succeed in an evolving market.

You will help solve a variety of clients' most challenging data problems by combining industry experience, consulting and analytical skills and data management capability to create long-lasting impact. Whether you are helping to devise a Data Strategy, implement new working methods to govern and manage data more effectively or deliver technology-based solutions to enhance how clients' use their data to deliver meaningful transformation.

As a Data Governance Consultant you will:

  • Help market leading clients define their long-term Data Strategy to ensure that data is managed and used as a valuable asset

  • Interview client stakeholders, analyse metamodels and data sets and evaluate existing documentation in order to assess a client's current Data Governance capabilities in order to identify gaps to be addressed

  • Define a client's 'to-be' state, which will involve the design of Data Governance Target Operating Models (TOM) through which data is efficiently managed within the organization, securing its trust and accountability

  • Support the client in the creation of a business case to deliver Data Strategy & Governance ('to-be') improvements

  • Working on projects to embed TOMs, Data Governance frameworks and data capabilities in the client organisation in a sustainable way

  • Assessing and improving client's Data Quality

  • Understanding the importance of stakeholder and change management and incorporating it into the implementation of Data Governance frameworks

A successful Data Governance Consultant will have experience in some of the following:

  • Experience and industry knowledge of data governance, strategy, management or analytics while operating in a client or business facing capacity
  • Business Analysis skills/experience: process improvement, process and Operating Model design and requirements/information gathering techniques
  • Manage stakeholders using clear communications and be able to form strong client relationships
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Data Quality Management, Metadata and Master Data Management principles
  • Have experience with Data Governance Target Operating Model design
  • Consulting experience: working on client-facing projects, proposal writing, presentations and pre-sales
  • Project Management experience of both waterfall and agile delivery approaches
