Our industry leading client currently require a Lead Data Engineer operating within the public sector. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be a valued person enabling government organisations to become data-driven and data-led as a part of the Data team, who's mission it is to enable data driven services to drive higher value business outcomes for UK citizens.

Our aim is to modernise the legacy applications and working Practices, accelerate digital service delivery, drive smarter decisions with data and enable improved technology skills within teams.

Data Engineer Requirements:

  • AWS/Azure/GCP or the Apache stack
  • Experienced building out or improving data architectures (modern data platforms)
  • Programming languages: SQL, Python, or Java
  • Data storage technologies: data lakes, data warehouses and traditional SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Apache Spark / Databricks / Hadoop

Flexible Working Approach:

You will be offered complete flexibility to work from home however we ask that if required for an important team or client meeting that you could be available to attend in person. Should you wish to be in the office and use its facilities however it will always be available at you and your team's discretion.

Benefits Package:

  • Base Salary: £80,000 - £100,000
