One of the world's most distinguished financial institutions are currently seeking a Distressed Loan Closer Manage a diverse portfolio of Secondary debt trades from trade date through to settlement Working within a small team managing highly distressed and complex transactions. Accountable as a technical expert in distressed debt settlement for the business, providing insight and analysis of complex situations. Have a comprehensive understanding of the distressed debt market with an ability to support and drive new product types and trading strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the co-ordination and management of distressed transactions traded by the Credit business, actively leading communications and outcomes with key stakeholders
  • Managing corporate actions and distressed debt restructures, with detailed analysis and substantiation of PnL. Provide operational insight into booking together with documentation review and voting submission on behalf of the firm.
  • Drafting and review of legal documentation across multi jurisdictions. Covering all distressed debt (not limited to loans) including but not limited to Loans, Warrants, Shares, Equities, Bonds and Rights.
  • Dissemination of private side and MNPI under drafted and agreed NDAs.
  • Manage deals associated to Spanish and French notaries, liaise with external and internal legal counsel ensuring all requirements are adhered to.
  • Monitoring of distressed holdings, and engagement with Operations colleagues to ensure correct accounting for performing and non-performing debt.
  • Take an active role in the market forums on behalf of the Bank, becoming a leader at the LMA Distressed Debt conferences.

What is offered:

  • Base Salary up to £115,000
