Android Engineer - Fully Remote

I am working with one of the hottest InsurTech start-Ups in the UK who is disrupting driver risk management and ultimately saving lives!

They are looking for a strong Android Engineer to join their growing Engineering division and be at the forefront of their Driver experience. They are looking to bring on an individual that brings talent and passion for creating apps that engage users and utilize the power of the smartphone to drive new insight into their behavior.

What you will be doing?

As an Engineer working within this team you will work with 3 sets of stakeholders: For companies, Drivers & Insurers - helping them create value from our offering.

What is required to be an Android Engineer?

• Proven commercial experience bringing engaging applications to users.
• Experience in working within Agile / Lean practices using JIRA.
• Proficient in Android development, specifically MVVM, Java, Kotlin, UI Development, Animation, Services Architecture and Concurrent Workloads .
• Proficient in integrating with remote APIs and Frameworks.
• Proficient in Unit Testing, Mocking & Dependency Injection.
• Proficient in general native Android (Java & Kotlin) development across the stack with experience of developing complex application experiences.
• Experience integrating APIs and other 3rd party applications and toolkits into Android Applications.
