If you are a technology strategy consulting senior leader with extensive experience in IT professional services and a track record advising and executing strategic technology transformation programmes to the UK Energy & Utilities industry, then this is the job for you!

I am delighted to be assisting a rapidly growing boutique management consultancy who are seeking to hire a 'Head of Energy & Utilities Consulting' who will be responsible for creating and scaling an industry vertical practice for this sector within their 'Technology Strategy & Operating Model' service line.

This boutique management consultancy have won multiple awards and were set up by ex-Big 4 partners who were tired of the corporate bureaucracy they faced. They currently have close to 100 consultants UK-wide and have ambitious plans to double in size in the next 2 years. Having made a high volume of recent hires from top tier consultancies at consultant, senior consultant and manager grades they are now turning their attention to this senior leadership vacancy.

As 'Head of Energy & Utilities Consulting' you will have:

  • multiple years of consulting experience within top tier IT professional services or management consulting.
  • deep knowledge in IT-agnostic technology strategy, digital transformation strategy, digital enablement, operating model design, c-suite advisory, strategic technology architecture and emerging technologies advisory across two or more of the following: cloud, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, BI data & analytics, devOps, IoT, connected devices.
  • an impressive track record of delivering engagements to external clients in the UK Energy & Utilities sector and a rich network of c-suite contacts in the industry which you can leverage to scale this vertical consulting team from scratch.
  • excellent business development expertise and will have secured a minimum of £2million worth of personal 'new business' (not up-selling from existing accounts) sales each year for the last number of years consecutively.
  • the drive, energy and enthusiasm to build something industry-leading and the commitment to the long term vision and success of this practice.
