IT Business Consultant

£40,000 – £80,000 Car, Bonus, Pension

My Client, a Leading Digital Defence consultancy are looking to hire several Business Consultants for their Government Client.

*Public Sector / Consulting experience is manditory*

The Client are looking for candidates who can support client transformation and deliver planned change and benefit. A successful Business Change Consultant will prove to be effective within complex stakeholder landscapes by being a trusted advisor to Programme and Project Managers and other key stakeholders. It is an empowering role that helps to 'make change happen'.

The main aim of all of their business consulting engagements is to help clients transform and achieve their stated goals. This transition often involves change in all three core business consulting areas (people, business processes and enabling technology). The Business consultants help clients to implement these changes at all stages within a programme or project: business justification; planning for business change; helping clients to implement change across the business and also ensuring that the expected level of change is sustainable.

The Business Consultant should be able to demonstrate experience in most of the following areas:

  • Lead analysis in areas where the consultant has experience.
  • Lead client engagement on specific sections of a project or programme.
  • Lead small workshops and interviews to capture information from key stakeholders.
  • Plan and Present core information to stakeholder groups to assist in change activities.
  • Coach other members of staff to help them develop core techniques.
  • Plan and define the delivery of a business consulting project.
  • Be familiar (and preferably experienced with one or more) business consulting approaches/ techniques and be able to choose those that are suitable for a particular engagement.
  • Be able to build and a team of more junior staff and task these to deliver appropriate elements of a larger project.
  • Lead large workshops with senior staff to elicit the information required for the project and progress activities.
  • Run large and complicated client engagements with a number of different stakeholder groups.
  • Engage with difficult stakeholder groups in order to identify issues and resolutions.
  • Coach and deliver training courses for more junior staff, and members of the client team.
  • Applies the principles of project management such as planning, risk management and resource management to small and medium sized business change projects
