Our esteemed Big 4 consulting firm is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) in Manchester. Role Overview: As the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), you will play a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our firm's information assets. Leveraging your expertise, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement robust information security strategies and controls. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact while advancing your career within a globally recognized consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for information security matters within the business unit, providing expert guidance and support to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to assess information security risks and develop risk mitigation strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
  • Manage security incidents and breaches, including investigation, containment, and resolution, in collaboration with the incident response team.
  • Drive security awareness and training initiatives to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance within the business unit.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and technologies in information security, and provide recommendations for enhancements to security controls and practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in information security, risk management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and manage information security risks in a business context.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

Salary and Benefits:
