About the Role:

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking a skilled Senior Electronic Trading GUI Developer to join their dynamic Fixed Income team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge electronic trading platforms that underpin pricing, hedging, and execution activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business teams, quantitative researchers, and IT professionals to develop and enhance features of the electronic trading platform.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues, including post-event analysis, performance optimization, and latency reduction within the electronic trading system.
  • Define project specifications with management, estimate costs, and design and implement key components of the electronic trading platform.
  • Develop robust testing strategies to ensure platform reliability.
  • Liaise with upstream and downstream IT teams, including data sources and trade execution APIs, to ensure smooth integration and operation of the electronic trading platform.
  • Manage release processes and coordinate with global development and production support teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Exceptional academic background with a degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related field from a leading institution.
  • Extensive experience in C# .NET Framework, particularly in the context of fixed income electronic trading systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income instruments (Government Bonds, Interest Swaps, Repos, Futures, and options) and trading workflows.
  • Familiarity with fixed income electronic trading venues and data flows, including market, static, and trade data.
  • Experience working with real-time, multithreaded applications and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in design patterns such as IOC/dependency injection and experience with WPF applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Ability to design concurrent applications and write clear, maintainable code.
  • Innovative mindset with a start-up mentality, focused on timely delivery and pragmatic solutions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Database experience.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Prior experience in automatic trading systems.
