Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + 10% bonus

We are seeking a skilled RF Design Engineer to join our team at Chelmsford. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing RF circuits, contributing to various stages of the engineering lifecycle, and working closely with other engineering disciplines to support system integration and higher-level design development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circuit Design: As an RF Design Engineer, you'll create detailed RF circuit designs, including selecting and evaluating components, running simulations, capturing schematics, and providing guidance to PCB design teams.
• Electromagnetic Analysis: Conduct electromagnetic simulations and analyses to ensure robust and reliable RF designs.
• Hardware Specification: Define specifications for bespoke procured hardware to meet project requirements, leveraging your expertise as an RF Design Engineer.
• Design Verification: Verify designs through simulation, analysis, and testing. Provide support to EMC test houses and assist with customer installations.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation and technical reports.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with systems engineering, mechanical/thermal engineering, logistics support, safety, product data management, and manufacturing teams, ensuring smooth integration and effective solutions.
• Lifecycle Adherence: Follow the Engineering Lifecycle and contribute to progress, peer, and design reviews, playing a key role as an RF Design Engineer.
• System Development: Support the development of higher-level system designs and assist in system integration activities.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field, or relevant work experience.
• Experience in component-level circuit design suitable for volume production.
• Expertise in board-level RF design, Direct Digital Synthesis, or high-power RF techniques.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment, reflecting your role as an RF Design Engineer.
• Proven experience in design proving, integration, and defect resolution.
