Equities Quantitative Researcher

£150,000 – £250,000 + Performance Related Bonuses

Position Overview:

They are seeking a highly skilled Equities Quantitative Researcher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Equities trading and a proven track record of success. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop and implement cutting-edge trading strategies, contributing to the firm's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative research and analysis to develop robust Equities trading strategies.
  • Utilize statistical and/or machine learning techniques to identify and exploit market inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate closely with other researchers, traders, and developers to enhance our trading models.
  • Implement and test new strategies in a live trading environment.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize existing strategies to ensure maximum profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Equities trading with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, R, or C++.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
