SOC Analyst

Location: Leeds, UK
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SOC Analyst to join our dynamic team in Leeds. As a SOC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our network and data. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
  • Develop and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to implement security best practices and improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security technologies.
  • Experience with incident response and handling security incidents.
  • Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
