Quant Developer - multi $bn Hedge Fund

Teams of quantitative researchers and technologists work together to build and scale one of the largest equities portfolios in the market by optimizing various aspects of the investment, risk management, portfolio construction, and trade execution lifecycle. Teams are small and highly collaborative - each member makes meaningful contributions to the research agenda and direction, and has visible impact in the firms investments. As a Quantitative Developer you ensure that the Quantitative Researchers have a best-in-class toolset available to quickly generate any analysis and research required.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Quantitative Researchers to develop a deep understanding of workflows and business problems
• Translate those insights into solutions to be shared across multiple teams
• Build products and frameworks to provide insight into our investment processes and performance
• Drive adoption through education, documentation and assisted implementation
• Be responsive to dynamic business demand and handle unique situations

Requirements:

• BS or MS in a relevant and highly technical field (computer science, math, physics, etc.)
• 2+ years software development experience, strong experience in building high quality software in Python
• Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and translate them into intuitive solutions
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with technical and non-technical users
• Affinity for developing effective visualizations of complex data
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving quantitative problems in finance with technology
• Demonstrated interest in or knowledge of finance
