Working as a Solution Architect
As a Solution Architect, you'll get to lead on some really impactful projects. Think helping launch a cloud platform that handles millions of messages daily or developing systems that track clinical trials in the fight against diseases like dementia. You'll be the go-to person for top clients, using your experience in software development and cloud technologies (like AWS, Azure, and GCP) to create real-world solutions.

Qualifications
To thrive as a Solution Architect, you should have:

  • A solid background in technical leadership, especially in application, business, and integration architectures.
  • Expertise in at least one key area, whether that's a specific architecture domain, business domain (like CRM or eCommerce), sector, or technology.
  • Experience evaluating different solution options, including product selection and analysis of best practices.
  • The ability to create strategic roadmaps and provide thought leadership in your field.
  • Familiarity with architecture modeling tools and frameworks like UML and ArchiMate.
  • A strong grasp of both the technical and business sides of your work.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architectures and emerging tech trends, especially in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
