A User Researcher role that drives high-impact insights and data-driven recommendations, shaping project direction and elevating user experiences. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, this position centers on creating effective user-centered designs through strategic research, impactful findings, and actionable insights.

User Researcher Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Research Needs: Identify project-specific research requirements and select the most effective research methods.
  • Plan and Conduct Research: Develop detailed research plans, establish study goals, and execute user research sessions such as interviews, workshops, and ethnographic studies.
  • Data Analysis and Synthesis: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate valuable insights, crafting these findings into clear user stories and strategic recommendations.
  • Visual Communication: Use journey maps, storyboards, and diagrams to illustrate customer experiences, helping teams understand the full user journey.
  • Present Insights: Share findings with stakeholders, delivering clear, actionable insights and proposals for service enhancements.

Ideal Experience of a User Researcher:

  • User Research Expertise: Experience in user research roles, ideally in public sector or consultancy settings where research has influenced business decisions.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent presentation skills, enabling clear communication of insights and recommendations, while considering diverse stakeholders' needs and perspectives.
  • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, contributing to a unified approach to user experience.
  • Government Sector and Security Clearance: Experience in government projects is beneficial, with active SC clearance highly preferred.
