Quantitative Researcher

My client are a leading hedge fund with a strong presence in global systematic trading. After strong performances in 2024 across multiple business areas, they are looking to expand their London office with experienced quantitative researcher hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alpha Generation: Develop and implement systematic trading strategies based on rigorous research and quantitative methods.
  • Collaborative Research: Work alongside a team of skilled quants, sharing ideas and exploring new, cutting-edge techniques to drive alpha generation.
  • Risk Management: Take ownership of your strategies and manage your own risk allocation across multiple markets and assets.
  • Full Lifecycle Involvement: From concept to live trading, be part of the entire systematic trading process, including backtesting and trade implementation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in alpha generation and systematic trading, with an in-depth understanding of financial markets and quantitative methods.
  • Education: PhD in a technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines) from a top-tier university. Strong academic foundation in quantitative analysis and problem-solving.
  • Programming Skills: Expertise in Python, C++, or similar programming languages for quantitative research and strategy development.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to share ideas and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Innovative Thinking: A passion for innovation and developing cutting-edge techniques to push the boundaries of systematic trading.
