Anson McCade are delighted to be partnering with a innovative digital transformation consultancy as they seek to appoint Cloud Architect to their growing teams in the United Kingdom. Our client work closely with varied clients delivering large-scale technical transformation projects across varied sectors.

As the Cloud Architect you will design and implement end-to-end cloud solutions on Azure and AWS that align with business and technical requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.

• Cloud Strategy and Governance: Drive the creation of cloud strategies, architectural frameworks, and best practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Integration: Engineer solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises data centres with multi-cloud environments for smooth interoperability across systems.
• Cloud Migration Leadership: Oversee cloud migration projects by conducting assessments, planning, and executing the migration of applications and data to Azure or AWS platforms.
• Technical Solution Development: Partner with development teams to establish technical architectures for new applications, optimising the use of cloud services, microservices, and APIs for performance and long-term maintainability.
• Security and Compliance Management: Ensure cloud solutions align with security standards (e.g., IAM, encryption, firewalls) and industry regulations (e.g., GDS, DPR, HIPAA) by implementing effective security controls across cloud environments.
• Cost Optimisation: Evaluate and manage cloud expenditures to ensure efficient resource allocation while maintaining required performance levels.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a technical bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure groups, and third-party vendors, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.

Professional Experience:

• 3-4+ years as a Solution Architect or Cloud Architect, with extensive experience in Azure and AWS environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing cloud architectures, particularly within hybrid or multi-cloud setups.
• Strong background in managing large-scale cloud migrations, DevOps methodologies, and CI/CD pipeline implementations.

Technical Experience

• Proficiency with Azure and AWS cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS ECS, Azure Active Directory, IAM).
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices design, and serverless frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking, security, databases, and storage within cloud platforms.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, and Docker.

• Strong problem-solving abilities focused on delivering high-quality, scalable cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Effective collaboration within cross-functional teams, balancing both technical and business objectives.
