What You Will Be Doing

As a Principal Engineer, responsibilities include:

• Analyzing software products (COTS, bespoke, modified COTS) to develop effective support strategies using established processes.
• Reviewing software documentation to produce system-level software support case reports with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement by attending collaboration working groups to provide maintenance design input.
• Offering software subject matter expertise to the wider ILS community and facilitating the alignment of software analysis outputs with other stakeholders' deliverables.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A degree or equivalent experience in the software support discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional IT skills and the ability to navigate complex software support challenges to identify critical issues.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of JSP 935, DefStan 00-055, IEC 61508, and DLF SSE GP.2.11.
