Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £80,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid (1-2 days per week on-site)
Security Clearance: British Citizen with DV Clearance

Are you a passionate Linux DevOps enthusiast ready to elevate your career? We're offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-national Information Management function as a DevOps/Platform Engineer. We're looking for a Kubernetes expert to manage, secure, and enhance our containerised solutions.

Duties:

  • Container Management: Deploy, secure, and optimise Docker and Kubernetes environments for rapid application development and testing
  • Customer Guidance: Lead workshops and advise internal teams on containerised solutions and Kubernetes platform use
  • Automation & Innovation: Leverage tools like Ansible and GitLab to support IT service automation and shape the future of software-defined data centres within MBDA
  • Performance & Security: Ensure Kubernetes environment health, scalability, and compliance with security best practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Harbor, Helm, Nexus, Artifactory, Python, GitLab, and Ansible
  • Strong Linux OS knowledge (particularly RHEL) and automation skills with scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for platform continuity
  • Familiarity with security practices for Kubernetes and container maintenance
  • Knowledge of OpenShift and CI/CD is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skill
  • Ability to conduct training and workshops to educate colleagues on Kubernetes platforms

Benefits:

  • Salary- Up to £80,000
  • Company Bonus: Bonus of up to 21% of base salary
  • Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%
