We’re hiring an AWS Architect to join a forward-thinking cloud consultancy team working on secure, high-impact transformation projects across government and enterprise clients.

You’ll play a key role in shaping AWS-native architectures, supporting agile teams, and enabling platform-first adoption with security, automation, and scalability at the core. If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges and want to architect real-world solutions that make a difference — this is the role for you.

You must currently hold active SC clearance or be eligible to obtain SC (minimum 5 years UK residency).

As an AWS Architect, you will:

  • Define and document cloud-native AWS architectures, patterns, and target states

  • Lead or support early cloud adoption phases (greenfield or migration context)

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure

  • Guide the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps practices

  • Conduct architecture reviews and contribute to community standards and reusable patterns

  • Act as an escalation point for technical delivery challenges

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially in architecture and platform enablement

  • Familiarity with AWS security and networking best practices (standard services — no niche tools)

  • Ideally from a platform engineering background, though strong software engineers with cloud architecture experience also welcome

  • Experience with DevOps tooling (e.g., Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation)

  • Understanding of cloud governance, security, and Agile delivery

  • Confident communicator able to engage engineers, architects, and non-technical stakeholders

  • Must have SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it

Preferred (but not essential):

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional)

  • Experience working in secure, regulated environments

  • Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft 365

  • Exposure to Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum)
