Our client is seeking ambitious Full Stack Software Engineers to contribute to high-impact projects across the national security and central intelligence landscape. You’ll be part of a collaborative team building modern, secure software systems that directly support the UK’s national interest. What You'll Be Doing

  • Working with end users and stakeholders across the entire software development lifecycle
  • Designing, developing, testing, and debugging secure software systems
  • Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines and microservice-based architectures
  • Migrating on-premise systems to modern cloud-first solutions, particularly AWS
  • Supporting junior engineers and contributing to a high-performance team culture
  • Documenting code, architecture, and decision-making to support maintainability and quality

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • British-born sole UK national
  • SC Cleared and willing to undergo Enhanced DV+ clearance
  • Proficient in Java, with exposure to Python
  • Strong experience developing on Linux
  • Version control using Git
  • Agile development (SCRUM)
  • Working with both relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD Pipelines, Apache NiFi, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
  • Front-end skills: JavaScript/TypeScript, React
  • Search and analytics tools: Elasticsearch, Kibana

Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing for AWS Cloud (EC2, EKS, Fargate, IAM, S3, Lambda)
  • Knowledge of serverless and microservices architectures
  • Understanding of CI/CD challenges for cloud deployments
  • Previous experience migrating systems from on-prem to the cloud

Experience with JSF (Primefaces), Hibernate
