The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced network design professional looking for your next big challenge in the Defence and National Security sector? We’re recruiting for a WAN Architect to join a leading global technology firm, driving secure, cost-effective network solutions that truly make an impact.

 

The Role:

As a WAN Architect, you’ll be part of a collaborative project delivery team, designing and delivering medium to large-scale network solutions. You’ll play a vital technical leadership role, ensuring solutions are aligned with both business needs and high security standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver robust WAN solutions for secure environments
  • Understand and translate business and technical requirements into actionable designs
  • Create and review technical design documentation for governance and support
  • Liaise across program teams on complex, cross-discipline solutions (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber Security)
  • Manage risk, dependencies, and ensure timely, quality delivery

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience designing secure network solutions using technologies from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Juniper JNCIA-Design/JNCIA-Junos
  • Experience across a full project lifecycle – from requirements to Operational Acceptance
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders and customers
  • Ideally, previous experience in the UK Defence sector
