  • Scripting or automation skills in Python, Bash, KSH, or Ansible

  • Understanding of VMWare for virtualised infrastructure (e.g. host deployment, affinity rules)

  • Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g. NetApp, Cohesity, SAN/NAS environments)

  • Exposure to infrastructure security principles (encryption, certificates, AV tools)

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues effectively

  • An analytical mindset and a proactive attitude toward system improvement and documentation

Key Requirements:

  • Must hold current SC clearance and be eligible for DV

  • Must be comfortable with full on-site work initially (WFH flexibility considered once embedded)

  • Comfortable working 37 hours/week across split shifts (07:00–15:30 or 10:30–19:00, Mon–Fri)

Linux Engineer Key Benefits:

  • £45,000 base salary

  • 10% DV clearance bonus

  • Up to 5% further bonus

  • 10% pension contribution

  • Private healthcare & dental cover
