About the Role

This is a high-impact opportunity for a driven Business Analyst to join a fast-paced change team within the Payments Acquiring division – a function that underpins payments processing for nearly a third of the UK high street. Sitting within the Change-The-Bank (CTB) team, you’ll play a key role in delivering payment solutions that support the organisation’s strategic roadmap and directly influence how customers and merchants transact every day.

You'll be part of a business-critical programme focused on enhancing payment infrastructure, driving innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk governance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the analysis and requirement gathering for small projects or individual workstreams on large programmes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Present options and recommendations that drive innovation while aligning with strategic delivery targets.
  • Ensure all requirements are captured, documented, and signed off in line with governance standards.
  • Operate within Agile or Waterfall delivery models, depending on project needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product teams to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and delivered on time.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong business analysis background with experience working in cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to interpret data, spot patterns, and confidently communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data transfers, and cloud-based applications.
  • Deep understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – able to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of SQL and interest in financial regulation.
  • Domain experience in payments, acquiring, or wider fintech environments.

Why Apply?

  • Work in a business area that’s critical to how payments function across the UK economy.
  • Be part of a collaborative team shaping the future of transaction processing.
  • Hybrid working and excellent career mobility within a global institution.
  • Competitive salary package with bonus, pension, and flexible benefits.

If you're an experienced Business Analyst ready to help shape the future of payments infrastructure – this role offers the scale, complexity, and challenge to accelerate your career.
