Salary: £51,000 – £61,000 (depending on experience)
Security Clearance: Currently hold or are eligible to obtain SC Clearance, with a willingness to undergo DV Clearance in the future.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week on site, with flexibility required based on project needs. On-site presence will be essential during initial training.
A leading defence organisation is seeking a Principal Support Engineer to manage the production of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) for a major UK submarine programme. This is a key role within a wider technical publications team supporting multiple submarine classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the IETP Production Team, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with the customer and user community.
- Oversee production planning, quality control, and delivery.
- Identify and implement process efficiency improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree in engineering or equivalent industry/HM Forces experience.
- Experience in technical publications/support within a defence programme.
- Working knowledge of IETP/IETM and ASD S1000D.
- Familiarity with Defence Standards (Def Stan 00-60 / 00-600).
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Desirable
- Experience with trilogi software (trilogiBuild, trilogiView, trilogiReview).
- Knowledge of submarine or surface ship platforms.
