As a Machine Learning Engineer you’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and deploying production-grade software, infrastructure, and MLOps systems. Your work will directly contribute to solving high-impact problems in defence and national security.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building scalable software and infrastructure that leverages machine learning.
  • Creating reusable tools to support ML system delivery.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, designers, and product managers.
  • Leading project scoping and design, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Engaging with clients to understand needs and provide technical expertise.
  • Championing best practices for operationalising ML systems at scale.

Ideal Experience (70% match is great):

  • Strong understanding of the ML lifecycle and deployment of models using frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Solid grasp of probability, statistics, and common ML techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python and software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
