We are seeking an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to join a high-impact engagement with a prestigious legal firm. This is a critical role within a three-person delivery team (Lead EA, EA, and PM), focused on establishing a business-led enterprise architecture model that will enable strategic transformation and long-term growth.

 

The Opportunity

Our client is embarking on a foundational enterprise architecture initiative to address key challenges around scalability, innovation, and technology adoption. The successful candidate will lead the development of an As-Is Enterprise Architecture Model, supported by a Discovery Report and Governance Guidance, to embed architecture into decision-making and planning.

 

This is a 7-week engagement with the potential to evolve into a broader programme of work, including system rationalisation, migrations, and alignment with wider transformation initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a high-level, business-relevant enterprise architecture model
  • Conduct discovery activities to map systems, data flows, and integrations
  • Facilitate workshops with senior, non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide governance guidance to embed architecture into business planning
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Long tenure of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong technical foundation
  • Deep understanding of professional services operating models; legal sector experience is highly desirable
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Proven ability to lead architecture initiatives in complex environments
  • TOGAF certified (minimum); familiarity with other frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with LeanIX or similar EA tooling is advantageous

 

Interview Process

  1. Initial interview with the recruitment lead
  2. Final interview with the client’s senior stakeholders, including a technical lead
