Our client is a leading digital transformation consultancy, delivering complex public sector programmes, large-scale digital services, and data-led solutions that make a real impact across the UK. They are problem-solvers and innovators, known for combining technical expertise with consulting insight to help organisations modernise and thrive.

 

They are now seeking an experienced Data Architect to join their growing Data & AI practice. This is a leadership role where you’ll shape data solutions for clients, bring consulting expertise to complex environments, and mentor the next generation of architects.

 

The Role

  • Lead on data architecture design, covering data modelling, data analysis, data migration, metadata management, and governance.
  • Work directly with clients to define and deliver data strategies, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to business needs.
  • Provide consulting expertise across public sector and healthcare programmes, helping organisations modernise and optimise their data.
  • Act as the technical authority on projects, setting standards, providing assurance, and guiding delivery teams.
  • Manage and coach a small team, supporting both their performance and career growth.
  • Influence technology and product selection at both project and enterprise level.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven consulting background with strong client-facing experience.
  • Track record of delivering data architecture solutions across the UK public sector (healthcare experience is a plus).
  • Strong technical design expertise in data architecture disciplines, including modelling, analysis, migration, and transformation.
  • Proficiency across multiple mainstream data technologies, with awareness of emerging trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring others, and defining best practices.
